Meet Ron

Ronald Pratt, L.Ac, M.Ac., M.A.

Prior to working as an Acupuncturist, I was a corporate trainer. I was originally attracted to corporate training because I saw it as an opportunity to empower people to do well at work they loved. In preparation for my life as a trainer, I attended graduate school for counseling and completed my master’s thesis on emotional intelligence. Immediately after finishing graduate school, I moved to New York City and began working in the financial services sector.

Though I loved helping people become successful, after several years in financial services I realized it wasn’t the right fit. I was driven by a desire to empower others, and wanted to help others live healthy and fulfilling lives.

While working as a corporate trainer in the wellness industry, I discovered Worsley Five-Element Acupuncture. Through regular Acupuncture I found real transformation in my life. Not only was I able to overcome a number of health challenges, I was empowered to make choices consistent with who I am and what I wanted to accomplish.

This is what led me to study Acupuncture and become a healthcare provider. I wanted to share this personal passion and approach to health and wellness with others.

In healthcare, there are many treatment modalities and all of them have merit. What is unique about the way I work with patients is I embrace an approach where together we explore what makes sense for each individual in their quest for wellness. I employ a patient-centered approach, only treating one patient at a time and developing treatment plans that are unique to each individual.

In addition to working as an Acupuncturist, I enjoy the outdoors, cycling, hiking, practicing yoga, daily walks with my dog, spending time with friends and family, cooking and exploring the world through travel.

“I had seen other acupuncturists before, but what struck me about Ron was how he gave me so much space to be “me” in the treatment room.  It didn’t matter what I was talking about, or how I was feeling.  I felt completely accepted and embraced for who I was.  Ron has been able to offer invaluable wisdom and insight at different points in my life and I’m so glad I found him!  He’s touched my life, and he’ll undoubtedly touch others.” — A.T.
