Acupuncture Can Help!
Drawing from the wisdom of medicine that has stood the test of time and applying it to the physical, mental and emotional stressors of today, we integrate Acupuncture and Lifestyle Medicine to promote balance and stimulate the body’s own capacity for healing. This holistic strategy helps to alleviate pain along with symptoms related to stress and chronic illness, ultimately helping to address the root cause rather than masking symptoms.
Prioritized Patient Care
A patient centered approach, focusing solely on the patient for the whole treatment.
Exclusively For You.
No two people are the same, no two treatments are alike.
Source, Not Symptom.
We discover and work to correct the root imbalance, to help patients feel better.
Treatment Plan
The first step in any treatment plan is an intake appointment. During this two-hour appointment, we will spend time getting to know you, your health concerns and your specific treatment goals.
In the beginning and during acute phases, care will be more regular. As symptoms diminish, patients come less frequently and move into maintenance care. Depending on wellness goals, some patients utilize Acupuncture and Lifestyle Medicine as part of their regular care and others continue on as as needed basis in our wellness and preventative phase.

Does Acupuncture Work?
Ancient wisdom teaches us that Acupuncture helps to alleviate the root cause of imbalances leading to pain, stress, anxiety and chronic illness. Modern science and research prove Acupuncture increases circulation, reduces inflammation and releases natural pain killers. Since side effects are minimal, Acupuncture can be used as a primary modality to treat pain, stress, anxiety and chronic illness or can be combined with other therapies and medical treatments.
Research and Results
-
Recently, the National Institute of Health (NIH) published an extensive study evaluating the usefulness of Acupuncture in treating pain. It concluded that Acupuncture treatment decreased pain by 40% and significantly increased function and movement of patients with osteoarthritis of the knee.
-
In 2013, 90 Chicago-area university students participated in a study. Half received Acupuncture treatments over a course of a year. Students who underwent treatment had less overall stress and had better memory immediately after treatment than those who did not receive Acupuncture.
-
Recently, doctors at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago began offering Acupuncture therapy to pediatric patients diagnosed with chronic illnesses. The treatment eases the pain and negative side effects such as nausea, fatigue and vomiting caused by chronic health conditions and intensive treatments.
-
In a recent randomized placebo-controlled trial, chemotherapy patients suffering from moderate to severe fatigue were randomly assigned to one of three groups. The first group received acupuncture. The second group received acupressure. The final group received sham acupressure. Patients in the acupuncture group reported a 36% improvement in fatigue levels, those in the acupressure group improved by 19%, while those who received sham acupressure reported only a 0.6% improvement.

What Our Patients Are Saying
“I always leave feeling better!!!”
— O.D.
“I called and scheduled a appointment for Acupuncture and I had lots of questions. Ronald was so friendly and knowledgeable about my concerns. Upon arriving we discussed my medical history. After receiving treatment, I felt like a brand new person. I would highly recommend Ronald due to the positive results I've experienced such as alleviating pain.”
— D.V.
“I have had two sessions with Ronald and let me start by saying he is amazing!! The first session we sat down and went over all the aches, pains and other stress issues going on. I went in seeking help with what I thought was a back problem. He assumed that it might be a muscular issue, and when I saw my doctors a few days later, she said that’s exactly what it seems like. A huge weight off my shoulders!! The first session ended with me feeling very relaxed. Second session yesterday, he did a lot of work on my back. Ronald even showed me some moves for the injury I had sustained. He is a godsend. I highly recommend Ronald!”
— S.M.
“I've been working with Ron for several years and he continues to be thoughtful, interactive, and insightful when so many medical professionals simply ‘call it in.’ I am firmly convinced that my life would be very different (and not for the better) had I not started working with him. I have, and will continue to, refer him to anyone who even mentions needing an acupuncturist.“
— K.B
“Ronald answers questions about acupuncture so it can be easily understood”
